More about Kristen
Kristen earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville in 2018 and her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky. After beginning her career in Kentucky, Kristen pursued travel physical therapy, allowing her to work across the country in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics, hospitals, home health, and assisted living facilities. Through her travels, Kristen discovered that the mountains felt like home and ultimately relocated to Bend, Oregon in 2024.

Outpatient orthopedics is where Kristen’s passion lies. She grew up playing soccer and, while she never experienced a significant injury herself requiring physical therapy, she was surrounded by teammates, friends, and coaches who benefited from physical therapy and saw firsthand the impact it could have. Kristen has always had a strong interest in the human body and movement, which deepened during physical therapy school when she became especially interested in weightlifting.

Kristen took the initiative to educate herself on strength training and nutrition, developing a belief in using food as fuel and movement as medicine to improve function, quality of life, and reduce pain.
Kristen works with individuals of all ages and activity levels, with a particular interest in treating weekend warriors, athletes, weightlifters, runners, and postoperative patients recovering from orthopedic surgery. She understands the importance of feeling strong and capable in order to fully participate in daily life, recreation, and sport. Her primary goal is to help patients continue doing what they love — as much as they can, for as long as they can.

Outside of the clinic, Kristen describes herself as an outdoorsy homebody. She enjoys reading, relaxing at home, and unwinding with a good show or movie, but also loves spending time outdoors. You’ll often find her hiking, camping, going on long walks, or snowboarding and taking advantage of everything Central Oregon has to offer.
